1. Take the ferry to Manly and go to the beach!
Manly is one of Australia's most iconic beach towns, with a beachfront spanning 2km. The beach itself has golden sand, waves for every type of surfer, and amenities for a fantastic day out. If you love nature, snorkel or dive at Cabbage Tree Bay marine reserve or go for a hike to North Head, both of which contain unique, endangered species. Grab yourself some fish and chips and watch the waves (beware of the seagulls!), or try some of the fine dining experiences

2. Walk around the harbourfront (including the Botanic Gardens!)
Sydney's harbour is iconic, boasting highly recognisable structures like the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and even our very lovely Botanic Gardens. Take a walk along the water, see the old sandstone buildings, and if you get the time, check out one of the many tours at the gardens (my favourite being the Aboriginal Heritage/Bushtucker Tour)

3. Visit Newtown and go vintage shopping
Not far from the CBD is trendy Newtown, whose reputation is all about diversity, inclusivity, and weirdness (in the best possible way!). There are countless vintage and vinyl shops to peruse, cute cocktail and wine bars, and food of every type (my suggestion is Cairo Takeaway and Bar Planet!)
